Institute for Tourism is Croatia's leading tourism research and consultancy organization. The University of Zadar consists of 22 departments and counts a total of 9,000 students. Its Department of Tourism and Communication Sciences is the leader in tourism education in coastal region of Croatia. The Department counts 680 students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate courses offered. Its graduates are employed in hotel industry, travel agencies, destination management organization and cultural institutions. The Department of Tourism and Communication Sciences promotes an integrated approach to tourism education and training, with a special emphasis on the social and humanistic aspects of tourism. In a drive to match the graduate education to workplace demands, the Department is continuously renewing its curriculum, providing for increasingly innovative courses. The Cyprus Center for European and International Affairs is an independent non-profit-making research center and think-tank, associated with the University of Nicosia. Since its establishment in 1993 it has sought to advance research, contribute to the study and analysis of important economic, political, social and strategic issues of concern to Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean and the EU at large.
The main thrust of its activities revolves around the engagement in national and international research projects, the organisation of international symposia, conferences, round-table discussions, seminars, as well as the publication of books, policy-papers, studies, conference papers and research reports. The Center aims to enhance strategic thinking in Cyprus, encourage debate and analysis of current affairs and other issues, promote a constructive dialogue and create lasting partnerships.

University of Primorska Faculty of Tourism Studies - Turistica, is the only faculty of tourism in Slovenia that offers multi-disciplinary teaching and research of tourism as well as educates human resources for high quality planning, management and an excellent tourism offer.
Turistica is a tertiary education institution which intends to create, preserve, ensure and transmit knowledge, experience, and at the same time pool and disseminate the information necessary for the quality development of tourism and related industries. Within its mission the faculty contributes to the development of theories and scientific disciplines connected with tourism.
Turistica has been educating human resources for the field of tourism as well as related industries since 1995. In the year 2003 it joined the University of Primorska and has so far operated as its member.
New courses have been designed according to the Bologna guidelines. We have developed four graduate faculty programs and a Master’s program called Tourism. We offer a university program called Tourism and three undergraduate Bologna structured programs called Language Mediation in Tourism, Tourism Destination Management and Business Systems in Tourism.
Turistica is a member of numerous international tourism associations, UNWTO, IAPCO, AIEST, ATLAS, CHRIE, and AEHT among others, which may be considered one of the factors contributing to the better quality of study, research and development processes at the faculty. Because of a great number of successful projects and cooperation with local, regional, national and international environment our institution has respected partners in tourism industry and other universities.
Turistica has up to now become the greatest tourism scientific research centre in Slovenia. We host the central tourism library in Slovenia, and implementation of the best tourism teaching methods, which make it possible for students to acquire several titles and certificates during their studies.
